The White House slammed Democrats for playing "partisan games" and calling for an investigation into alleged insider trading after President Donald Trump paused customized reciprocal tariffs for 90 days on Wednesday.

Although the Social Security Administration has never missed a payment since it began issuing monthly checks in 1940, some recipients are afraid that they’re on the verge of losing the income that sustains them. It’s a message that they’re hearing a lot, even though the Trump administration says this is not true.

The website of the Grafton County Democrats, a grass-roots organization in central New Hampshire, encourages citizens to protest “the impending demise of our Social Security services and earned benefits.”

The Network Contagion Research Institute, a nonpartisan organization that tracks online extremist hate, reports that 55% of self-identified leftists believe that murdering President Donald Trump is at least somewhat justifiable. According to the report, 48% of leftists felt the same about Elon Musk.

The report indicates a rising “assassination culture” among left-leaning individuals, highlighting social media’s role in amplifying support for political violence.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) denied as "categorically false" a report that Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staff are using AI to spy on communications sent by federal workers to detect anti-Donald Trump or anti-Elon Musk language.

Reuters cited two anonymous people with knowledge of the matter, who said this was happening at the EPA and they had been told so by Trump-appointed officials.
