Pataskala extends moratorium on recreational marijuana businesses in the city

Pataskala extended its freeze on businesses growing, processing or selling adult-use marijuana within the Licking County city. The City Council on May 5 extended the city's moratorium on issuing and processing permits related to the cultivation, processing and dispensing of marijuana for adult-use until Dec. 31, according to a YouTube video of the meeting. Columbus set new rainfall record for May 3, and more rain expected Sunday, May 4

If it seemed like it rained a lot on Saturday, May 3, you're not wrong. Columbus set a new rainfall record for the date May 3 with 1.39 inches of rain, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. That beat the previous record of 1.16 inches set in 2011. US court halts ruling ordering Voice of America employees back to work

A federal appeals court on Saturday blocked a ruling, opens new tab that had ordered the Trump administration to return more than 1,000 Voice of America employees back to work.

U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth on April 22 ordered the administration to "take all necessary steps" to restore employees and contractors to their positions at the U.S. news service and resume radio, television and online news broadcasts and some grants.
