Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz falsely claimed that Project 2025 calls for the tracking of “all pregnancies” and would require people “to register with a new federal agency” upon getting pregnant. The conservative playbook advocates the reporting of all miscarriages and abortions but does not stipulate the monitoring of all pregnancies.

While many American journalists and Democrats remain obsessed with Project 2025, the conservative blueprint for a Republican White House, world leaders including Democratic President Joe Biden are now increasingly focused on Project 2030, the United Nation program officially known as "Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development."

When Donald Trump takes the debate stage on Tuesday, he will doubtless again try to disavow Project 2025, the radically conservative blueprint spearheaded by the Heritage Foundation for the next Republican administration.

We shouldn’t let him.

Seventy-eight percent of the contributors to the effort were members of his last administration and many of them are likely appointees to his next team if he’s re-elected. As the old Washington saying goes, “personnel is policy.”

The printed version of Project 2025 wobbled the lectern as Democratic 8th Congressional District candidate Kristin Lyerly put it down.

The Trump campaign’s intense pushback to Project 2025 amid sustained attacks from Democrats is frustrating conservatives inside and outside the effort who worry that the disavowal will result in the former president alienating his most loyal supporters.

It was one thing for Trump to separate himself amid Democratic messaging centering on the Heritage Foundation-led project’s policy blueprint, which sometimes differs from that of the former president and was intended to kick-start a transition to a conservative White House. 

Working a minimum wage job scooping ice cream or lifeguarding at the local pool is a summer rite of passage for many American kids. A growing number of mostly conservative officials and activists, however, have a different idea about what constitutes age-appropriate employment for minors.

With the news of Project 2025 effectively being laid to rest by its Heritage Foundation incubator, it is worth taking a look at how the only true MAGA operation in Washington, D.C., got demonized and neutered.
