In a statement, the organisation said it was operating in "a very financially-challenging environment."

With a 10% drop in income, the university said it must act in order to cut budgets.

It added: "As things stand, the proposals we're considering could affect about 200 roles but this is subject to change as we consult with colleagues and trade unions."
