The University of Washington slammed the "offensive and destructive behavior" of activists who ignited dumpsters and occupied a campus engineering building, and said it opposed antisemitism, as police arrested around 30 of those involved.

The activists said they were pro-Palestinian and fighting for the university to end its relationship with Boeing over the manufacturing giant's dealings with Israel amid the war with Hamas. But a statement by some of the occupiers also hailed the October 7 attack.

Nearly 180 researchers working under now-terminated federal grants at Columbia University will soon receive “notices of non-renewal or termination,” school officials said in a statement Tuesday.

“We do not make these decisions lightly. We are deeply committed, at Columbia, to the critical work of invention, innovation and discovery,” the statement reads. “The excellence of our research portfolio is fundamental to our identity, and we are determined to support it.”

A Harvard task force released a scathing account of the university on Tuesday, finding that antisemitism had infiltrated coursework, social life, the hiring of some faculty members and the worldview of certain academic programs.

A separate report on anti-Arab, anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian bias on campus, also released on Tuesday, found widespread discomfort and alienation among those students as well, with 92 percent of Muslim survey respondents saying they believed they would face an academic or professional penalty for expressing their political opinions.

On Tuesday, Harvard University released reports from its presidential task forces on antisemitism and anti-Israeli bias, as well as anti-Muslim, anti-Arab and anti-Palestinian bias. In a letter to the university, Garber expressed his gratitude for the teams’ work and lamented the rise of bigotry and "sometimes violent clashes" occurring on campus.

Ignoring lies allows them to fester, but fighting back adds fuel to the fire.

Jews who are concerned about the rising tide of antisemitism are in a no-win situation.

On a daily basis, we are treated as the villain of various tales told by growing parts of both the left and right. At any given time, according to the internet, Jews are starving innocent people and committing genocide; facilitating the persecution of Christians in the Middle East or trying to outlaw Christianity in the United States; stifling free speech; or conspiring to bring about World War III.

Harvard University filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration after it pulled over $2 billion in federal funding to the Ivy League institution over accusations the school is not doing enough to target antisemitism.

Harvard University announced Monday that it is suing the Trump administration in federal court, seeking to block a freeze on more than $2.2 billion in research grants.

The move follows Harvard's refusal to comply with a series of sweeping demands from the administration, which included limiting campus activism, altering admissions policies, and restructuring university governance. According to Harvard, the freeze came just hours after the university said it would not acquiesce to the government's orders.

In it, lawyers for the university argue that the administration is unlawfully using billions of dollars in federal funding as "leverage to gain control of academic decision-making at Harvard."

President Donald Trump’s administration lashed back at Harvard University on Wednesday, with the Department of Homeland Security cutting over $2.7 million in grants and threatening to cancel all student visas, according to a press release obtained exclusively by The Free Press. The move comes two days after Harvard refused to agree to a series of demands by the administration, and Harvard’s president Alan Garber said that the university “will not surrender its independence or relinquish its constitutional rights.”
