Deutsche Lufthansa LHA 0.80 %increase; green up pointing triangle posted a narrowed adjusted earnings loss on higher revenue and a strong performance of its core brand airline in the first quarter of the year.
The German carrier group said that its adjusted earnings before interest and taxes–the group’s preferred measure of profitability–came at a 722 million euro ($824.7 million) loss, a 15% improvement from the 849 million euro loss it reported a year ago.
