Democrats Turn Tables on GOP With Jared Kushner Probe
Senate Democrats have launched a probe into Jared Kushner's business activities as the GOP continues its investigation of Hunter Biden.
Kushner, Donald Trump's son-in-law, has come under scrutiny for receiving money from foreign governments including $2 billion from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund in 2021, six months after he left his role as a White House adviser to the former president in January 2021.
Bipartisan House duo of Comer, Porter team up on presidential ethics bill
New comprehensive presidential ethics legislation in the House has an unlikely, bipartisan duo behind it: House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) and Rep. Katie Porter (D-Calif.).
Among other provisions, the legislation would require the president and vice president to disclose tax returns for two years preceding office, any foreign payments received, family members accompanying them on official travel and conflicts of interest.
