The CDC just killed another right-wing Covid vaccine conspiracy theory
A new study out of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention dispels a popular coronavirus-related conspiracy theory that’s been popular among right-wingers. For a while now, anti-vaxxers have pointed to highly publicized incidents of people — particularly, young people — suffering cardiac arrest and concluded that their conditions must have been caused by the Covid-19 mRNA vaccine. Several Fox News hosts, for example, tried to blame the vaccine for LeBron James Jr.'s suffering a cardiac arrest last summer.
Pfizer's twice-daily weight loss pill joins a long list of obesity drug flops
Pfizer' s twice-daily version of its experimental weight loss pill has now joined a long list of other scrapped drugs that aimed to treat obesity but came with unintended consequences. Pfizer noted that it will release data on a once-daily version of the pill next year, which will "inform the path forward." The announcement came...

FDA: Pfizer Plant Damage Unlikely to Cause Major Drug Supply Shortages
Most of the destruction from a tornado that tore through eastern North Carolina Wednesday and struck a large Pfizer pharmaceutical plant affected its storage facility, rather than its medicine production areas, the company said Friday. The drugmaker's ability to salvage production equipment and other essential materials could mitigate what experts feared would be a major blow to an already strained system as the United States grapples with existing drug shortages. "We do not expect there to be any immediate significant impacts on supply, given the products are currently at hospitals...
