FTSE 100 UK Stocks Poised for 14th Day of Gains

The FTSE 100 looked like it had ended its winning run yesterday, but a flurry of late settlements meant the index actually closed the day up by 0.4% once all was said and done. That means it has risen for 13 days in a row.

Futures this morning are up by 0.6% and there’s a holiday in Europe, meaning pretty much the only markets open here are the UK and Denmark. US futures are rallying too.

FTSE 100 UK Stocks Set for 12th Straight Day of Gains

The group said it is “well-positioned” to manage the challenges ahead caused by US tariff policy. Under a scenario where levies are “significantly higher,” it said it would expect a “low single-digit percentage” impact on revenue.

HSBC does most of its business in Asia and is the largest trade bank in the world, plus the biggest non-US clearer of dollars, making it highly-exposed to the rift between the US and China.
