“This is insane CCP thinking,” Lonsdale, a co-founder of Palantir, wrote to a 300-member Signal group. “Not sure what leaders hang out w you in Singapore but on this you have been taken over by a crazy China mind virus.”

A hacker breached TeleMessage, a government-approved messaging app used by Trump administration officials, exposing archived communications from the platform’s modified version of Signal, 404 Media reported.

Trump administration national security advisor Mike Waltz and other staffers are out at the National Security Council, sources confirmed to Fox News.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth created another Signal messaging chat that included his wife and brother where he shared similar details of a March military airstrike against Yemen’s Houthi militants that were sent in another chain with top Trump administration leaders, The New York Times reported.

A person familiar with the contents and those who received the messages, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters, confirmed the second chat to The Associated Press.

Last week, ABC, CBS, and NBC spent nearly 100 minutes covering leaked messages from a private Signal chat for Trump administration officials, in just the first 96 hours after the messages were published. But those same networks spent only 13 minutes covering the actual military operation that was discussed in those leaked messages.

U.S. national security adviser Mike Waltz used the Signal messaging app to host other sensitive discussions with Cabinet members, The Wall Street Journal has reported, citing two unnamed officials.

Among those discussions were threads on brokering peace between Russia and Ukraine, and military operations, according to the Journal.

Newsweek could not independently verify the report, and contacted the White House press office by email outside of normal business hours for comment.

Republican senators are warning that any conversation taking place between senior Trump administration officials over the commercial app, Signal, needs to be preserved to determine whether classified information was compromised and to comply with the Federal Records Act.
