Here’s what USAID really did — it wasn’t bunnies and rainbows
I am a human rights activist and advocate for my country — Macedonia — and for its language and its culture.
As an American taxpayer, you have probably never heard of me. You might not know much about Macedonia or even be able to find it on a map.
But here’s one thing you have a right to know: Millions of your taxpayer dollars were spent to foment a political crisis in my country, to overthrow its government, and even to defame me personally.
State Department formally notifies Congress it is effectively dissolving USAID
The State Department on Friday formally notified Congress it is effectively dissolving the US Agency for International Development and moving some of its functions under the department.
The reorganization will be done by July 1, the State Department said, sounding a death knell for USAID, a multibillion-dollar agency that fought poverty and hunger around the world.
The shuttering of an agency established by Congress without the legislative branch weighing in is expected to draw legal challenges.

NewsNation has obtained copies of both documents from a source familiar with USAID operations.

Well, That's a Major Error in This Judge's USAID Ruling
These little judges are out of control. Tuesday marked a hellacious day where judicial overreach was all the rage. The Department of Government Efficiency under Elon Musk was ordered to cease all operations on the curtailment of USAID, the slush fund Democrats and the political class used to provide their friends with exorbitant amounts of largesse. The judge alleges that Congress created USAID, but that's not accurate. President John F. Kennedy created the agency via executive order (via WaPo):

U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang released a 68-page decision in favor of unnamed current and former U.S. Agency for International Development employees and contractors who challenged Musk and DOGE’s efforts to illegally close down the department.
