One of the biggest recent stories has been the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Headlines from the left have mostly described him as a “Maryland man” or “wrongly deported” while outlets from the right said he's an “illegal” migrant or suspected gang member.

Here’s a roundup of how media outlets on the left, center, and right displayed bias in election news posted to Instagram.

Axios came under fire for an article that tied “the Trump campaign and Republicans” to the dubbing of Vice President Kamala Harris as the “border czar.” However, in a 2021 article, Axios itself referred to Harris as the “border czar.”

The Biden administration said it formally opposes a Republican-led bill that would require voters to prove their U.S. citizenship in order to vote in federal elections. The statement was covered by a several outlets from the right, but AllSides didn't find coverage from the center or left.

When covering the recent Supreme Court decision that undercut federal agencies’ power to make and enforce policy, media outlets showed bias.
